Welcome-to-Maribyrnong-Park-St-Marys-Cricket-Club

Maribyrnong Park St Mary’s Cricket Club is a new club formed in 2011. We are a family friendly club with new members always welcome. We provide cricket for all ages including:

  • Senior Mens turf
  • Senior Mens non turf
  • Senior Ladies T20
  • Woolworths Blasters for boys and girls aged 5-10 years
  • Junior non turf teams incorporating U/10, U/12, U/14 and U/16.

Our members have access to the best facilities available including large clubrooms and social facilities, Brand new 4 Lane training nets and a new turf wicket on a fully re surfaced Oval. All of our turf and non turf games are conveniently played at home, being Maribyrnong Park Reserve.

Maribyrnong Park St Mary’s CC is a combination of Maribyrnong Park CC and St Mary’s CC. Both clubs have enjoyed a lot of success in and with the clubs banding together in 2011, we expect this trend to continue. The merge warranted many years of negotiating and a lot of hard work with the end result being two great local clubs joining forces to become one, providing the local community with a new and exciting place to enjoy cricket.

This season we will be entering five senior turf and non turf teams being a mixture of T20, One Day and Two Day cricket. Last Season we saw the emergence of our first ever Ladies senior team and with strong interest, we will be aiming for at least two teams this coming season. We also have a growing junior program headed by a professionally certified coach. All coaches have the necessary working with children checks and strive to improve. We are aiming at fielding 10 junior teams into local associations. We will also be hosting the Cricket Victoria Woolworths blast program for kids from 5 - 10 years old.

A FRESH START - New Club, 2 new associations

The VTCA is a highly regarded association.  It is well run by their committee and quoted as being a step under sub district level providing an exciting brand of cricket. It considered the largest ‘turf only’ cricket competition in the Southern Hemisphere, it has over 80 clubs competing in two main divisions across Melbourne, North and South.

Our first and second XI will compete in the Charles Clark Division level which consists mainly of clubs that were previously playing in the MMVCA. For more information about the VTCA, I encourage you to go to their website and have a look - www.vtca.asn.au

Our non turf teams, our third and fourth XI (a one day side), will be playing in the newly formed NWMCA. This is a merged association which has teams from the NWCA and the MMVCA. If you are interested in more information, you can go to the NWMCA website which is www.nwmca.vic.cricket.com.au
